Walkthrough Guide

This guide details all the main features of the Artistic application. Click on the Artistic application card from the Home Page. Artistic's interface is designed to help you quickly get started and stream content on your artistic video wall. The first step is to create a Mapping Group.

Mapping Group

A mapping group helps manage content streaming to the destinations. Create multiple groups for streaming various types of content for every occasion. A Mapping Group contains a Source/ Asset mapped to a Destination.

Create a Server Player Mapping Group

  1. Enter details

    • Enter the Name and Description. For example, Lobby Wall. Streaming welcome content and HD art designs.

    • Enter the Latency value. An ideal latency value helps in the smooth streaming of content.

    • Enter the Resolution. The resolution value should ideally be the resolution of the destination. This value overrides the resolution of the source.

    • Select the Behaviour. Always Active When creating a mapping group with this behavior, the server starts processes and allocates resources to the mapping group as soon as the mapping group is created. This makes the streams readily available but also consumes system resources. Active When Destinations are Assigned When creating a mapping group with this behavior, the server starts processes and allocates resources when a destination is assigned to the mapping group.

    • Enter the Frame Rate Limit.

    • Select the GPU. The platform populates this field automatically.

  2. Drag and drop the source from the Sources section to the mapping group. Note: This example uses a playlist Welcome Video. Refer to how to create a playlist section. To know more about different types of sources, refer to the Sources topic.

  3. Switch to the Destinations panel. Drag and drop the destination(s) to the mapping group.

    The destination starts streaming content.

uClient Player

The uClient player stores and processes content on the uClient to provide content streaming across numerous displays. The source is streamed straight to the destination from the uClient. This decreases the load on the server's network bandwidth while also consuming fewer server resources. uClient players are currently restricted to stand-alone uClient destinations and Videos and Images as the source type.

Create a uClient Player Mapping Group

  1. Enter the Name and Description.

  2. Drag and drop the source from the Sources panel to the mapping group.

  3. Switch to the destinations tab. Drag and drop the destination(s) to the mapping group.

    The destination starts streaming content.

Edit a Mapping Group

Click on the mapping group card to edit the group. You can edit the mapping group by accessing the following tabs:

  • Mapping Modify sources and destinations. Use the Search function to search for a destination.

  • Details Modify mapping group name and description.

  • Text Overlay It helps to create customized text that may be used as an overlay element on the source content streaming on the destination.

    • Enter the text. Customize the text using editing tools to change font family, size, color, etc.
