Migration from 12.8x to 12.9
Userful Infinity 12.9 is a major release that includes several new features, enhancements and stability fixes. However if you are migrating from any of the 12.8x versions to 12.9, please follow the instructions below.
If you use VLC and want to upgrade from version 12.8x to 12.9, please contact Userful support. Write to support@userful.com or fill up the online form.
You must reboot your system after upgrading from 12.8x to 12.9 for the update to take effect. Your system will not reboot automatically after the update. If you have Nvidia drivers, please wait for up to five minutes before you reboot. Nvidia driver updates do not happen synchronously with the product update. Hence, adding more time before reboot helps to have a fully functional Nvidia driver.
If your system includes Dante or Black Magic cards, a complete shutdown (not just reboot) is required after the upgrade. In this case, shut down your computer after the upgrade and boot it up afterwards.
If you do not have the appropriate permissions to shut down and later boot up your system, please inform your IT manager.
