uConduct

uConduct is the Soft-KVM for the Userful Infinity Platform. With uConduct, the operators can interact with multiple interactive sources such as Web browser, RDP, VNC, YouTube, PowerBI, and Tableau. The operator can add any interactive source that is created in the Operations center under the Decisions application.

It offers an improved operator workflow and can be used for long shifts by offering quality resolution, low latency, and improved window management for interactive sessions.

  • uConduct only lets you interact with multiple Sources. It is not a tool for changing the Mapping Groups or Destinations of the different Sources.

  • Using uConduct, you can create different combinations of Sources to interact with, and save them as Views for future use.

Access permissions

Only Decisions app operators and administrators will have access to the uConduct app. However, there are also the following permissions unique to the uConduct app:

  • uConduct Administrator: Can view, create, edit, and delete Sources in uConduct.

  • uConduct User: Can view Sources in uConduct.

Points to note:

  • Starting from Userful Infinity version 12.8, you can access uConduct only from the Decisions application.

  • The uConduct Admin and uConduct user roles do not exist from version 12.9. In 12.9 users with the 'Decisions Admin user' role can access the uConduct app with the 'uConduct Admin' role and users with the Decisions user role can access the uConduct app with the uConduct user role.

How is uConduct different from the Interactive Viewer?

While Interactive Viewer lets you interact with a single source (in Decisions, Artistic, and Trends), uConduct lets you interact with multiple Sources in Decisions.

How is uConduct different from uControl?

  • While uControl is meant for controlling the content played on Destinations, uConduct is for interacting with Decisions Sources.

  • Using uControl, you can change the Sources and Layouts of content playing on Destinations as well as add more Destinations, by activating presets with a single tap.

  • Using uConduct, you can only interact with Sources used in Decisions. You cannot change the Mapping Groups or Destinations of the Sources using uConduct.
