Artistic

This guide helps you to use the Artistic application in three simple steps.

Launch Click on the Artistic application card.

Modify Content

Add content to your canvas or create playlists.

Stream Content

Save your settings and stream content.

Modify Content

There are two types of mapping groups, namely Server Players and uClient Players.

Server Players

Create a Servers Player Mapping Group

1. Click on the option.
2. Add details

   • Enter the Name and Description.

   • Enter the Latency value. An ideal latency value helps in the smooth streaming of content.

   • Enter the Resolution. The resolution value should ideally be the resolution of the destination. This value overrides the resolution of the source.

   • Select the Behaviour. Always Active When creating a mapping group with this behavior, the server starts processes and allocates resources to the mapping group as soon as the mapping group is created. This makes the streams readily available but also consumes system resources. Active When Destinations are Assigned When creating a mapping group with this behavior, the server starts processes and allocates resources when a destination is assigned to the mapping group.

   • Enter the Frame Rate Limit.

   • Select the GPU. The platform populates this field automatically.

   • Click . The tab appears.
3. Map Source and Destination

   • Drag and drop the source from the Sources Panel to the mapping group.

     
   • Switch to the Destinations panel. Drag and drop the destination(s) from the Destinations Panel to the mapping group.

     

     The destination now streams the source.

Click on the <- option to return to the Server Players screen.

uClient Player

Sources played from this mapping group are processed on the uClient.

Create uClient Players Mapping Group

1. Click on the option.
2. Enter the Name and Description.

3. Click . The mapping tab appears.
4. Drag and drop the source from the Sources panel to the mapping group.

   

   Content starts to stream on the destination.

5. Drag and drop the destination from the Destination panel to the mapping group.

   

   The destination starts streaming content.

Click on the Go Back option to navigate to the uClient Players screen.

Playlists

Loop to play various content sources using Playlists.

Create a Playlist

1. Click on the option.
2. Add details

   • Enter the name and description. For example, Company Overview.

   • Add App Permissions and Tags.

   • Click . The Contents tab appears.
3. Configure Playlist Items

   • Click on the option. A row appears to add a source to the playlist.
   • Select a Source, and select the Source Duration (in seconds) and Playtime.

     
4. Click .
5. Click on the option to navigate to the Playlists screen.

   

Navigate to the mapping groups section. The Playlist appears in the Sources Panel. Map this source to any destination using a mapping group or schedule it to play later using Schedules.

Text Overlay

You can display custom text on screens by using the Text Overlay function.

1. Click on the Mapping Group you wish to edit.

2. Navigate to the tab.
3. Click on the option and enter text. For example, Welcome to Userful.
4. Change the font, font size, and color, highlight text, and add an outline to the text using the editing panel tools.
