Proof of Play

Proof-of-play Report functionality offers you the streaming details of the Assets you play on your display screens, video walls, etc.

One of the most powerful features, it comes with the following key functionalities:

  1. Helps track starting and ending timestamps of each asset played.

  2. Includes Assets Tags and Screens Tags to create complex aggregated reports.

  3. Collects data in real-time or by using the upload interval functionality. It is useful for scenarios where you have devices with limited internet connectivity that performs a drive-by once a week/month to collect data.

  4. Filter, Save, and Schedule reports based on your criteria and email them.

  5. Export raw data for creating custom reports.

It only works if the content is placed in a playlist or schedule. If the content is only a single content asset in a display, it will not keep a record.

There are two methods to access this feature:

From Profile

  • Click on your profile name on the top right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu appears.

  • Select the Proof of Play option. The following screen appears:

Configuration

Use this tab to configure how often you want screens to report data, and when you want data extract to be produced for download. By default, screens update data in real time as assets are played. If the internet is disconnected, data will be saved locally and will be synced to the server automatically when the device comes back online. If for some reason, you don't want real-time data (i.e., to reduce network usage during day time, or if you do drive-by data collection once in a while). You can uncheck the Real-time option and select an upload interval of your choice. Once this option is enabled, within a few minutes, all of your screens will start sending back proof-of-play data.

It has the following options:

  • Enable Playback Reports: Enable this option to run Playback Reports.

  • Real-time: Enable this option to receive real-time asset playback updates.

  • Export CSV report: Select the duration after which the export should run.

  • Run windows: Select the time interval at which the export should be produced.

  • Time Zone: Select the time zone as per your location.

  • Notify when the report is ready: Enter the email address to be notified after the successful export of the report.

  • Send emails from: Enter the email address from which the notifications should be sent.

Report Files:

Use this option to view detailed asset reports. Click on the Custom Date Range Export option to filter reports using the date range and the time zone.

Scheduled Report:

This section displays the list of scheduled reports and details like report name, time zone of the asset, report emailing details, etc. You can save and schedule reports to be emailed out at daily, weekly, or monthly intervals and at a certain time. This is useful if you have many advertisers that you need to send reports on a regular basis.

From Analytics

To access this click on the Analytics options present on the toolbar and select the Proof of Play option.

The analytics screen provides a graphical view of the asset's play count and duration. You can use this graph and analyze results based on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Setting Tags to Your Screens or Assets

Setting tags for your screens and assets makes reporting, and grouping data a lot easier.

  • To set Tags for Screens: Click on the Screens tab. Click on the Edit option of your screens and type in tag details.

  • To set Tags for assets: Click on the Files/Assets tab. Select the assets by clicking on the three dots at the top right corner of the asset. Click on the Edit Tags button. Enter your tags.

This analytics dashboard has the following options:

  • Open: Use this option to view an existing report.

  • Save: Use this option to save the report. While saving you can schedule a run and email the report.

  • Export: Use this option to export the report in a CSV, Excel, or PDF format.
