Geckoboard

First, generate a share link.

Once you have collected the link, create a Web Browser source and paste the link into the URL field. Then map a Display or Zone to the Source, and click Apply.

Google Calendar

To display a Google Calendar, we will use a Web Browser source to display a published URL.

First, acquire the URL to the particular Google Calendar you want to display.

Once you have the URL, create a Web Browser source - the shown settings are recommended.

Map a display or Zone to the Source and click Apply as above, and you are finished!

You can check that the content is showing using the Interactive Viewer.

Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides

To display assets from Google Suite, we will use a Web Browser source to display a published URL.

In any of the G Suite applications, use File -> Publish to Web to get a URL.

Use the copied address to create a new Web Browser source, then map your displays or Zones to it.

You can verify that the content is playing using Interactive Viewer.

Microsoft PowerBI

To display PowerBI dashboards, we will use a Web Browser source to display a published URL.

You will need admin access to your PowerBI environment to complete these steps. Find out more about admin access here.

In PowerBI, click File and then Publish to Web. You will see the Embed in a public website popup. Click Create embed code. You will see a warning about publishing the link to public view. If this is OK, click Publish.

Select Link you can send in email and copy it to your clipboard (Ctrl+C), then paste it as the URL in a new Web Browser source - we recommend using a Chrome: Kiosk session.

You can adjust the Frame Rate as needed (1 should be fine) and leave all other options as-is.

Map a Display or Zone to the new source, and click Apply.

Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT)

You can easily display PowerPoints on Userful in a few different ways. All of the following methods work for both On-Premise and Cloud servers.

Export as a Video

Use PowerPoint to export a video with your chosen resolution and slide advancement settings.

The export will take some time.

Once finished, create a Signage Player source, and upload and select the file to play, then map your displays or Zones to it.

Check playback by enabling and using Screen Capture.

Publish with Google Slides

Import your presentation into Google Slides, then use the option to Publish to the Web.

This process can also be used with Google Docs to display Word files, and Google Sheets to display Excel files.

Use the copied address to create a new Web Browser source, then map your displays or Zones to it.

You can verify that the show is playing using Interactive Viewer.

Export as a Slideshow

First, export your slide deck as a series of images.

Next, create a Source in Userful Control Center and upload the files to it.

Then map your displays or walls to the new Source.

You can preview the playing list by enabling and clicking Screen Capture (On-Premise only).
