LG WebOS Setup
Before You Begin
1.
You should have either configured a
Cloud Server
in Userful Manager or set up an
On-Premise
server.
2.
The design of your system has followed the
Network Design Requirements for Userful
.
3.
Your LG WebOS devices are unboxed, mounted, powered, and have Internet access.
Steps to Perform a Factory Reset
It is strongly recommended that you perform a factory reset on your new device before proceeding.
Open the menu by pressing the Settings
[
âš™
]
icon on the remote.
Navigate to the
Admin
tab.
Enable the
Admin
settings. The default admin password for WebOS 4.0 displays is
000000
(six zeroes).
Click on the
Factory Reset
option.
The device will be be reset.
Steps to Configure the WebOS
Network Setup
Open the menu by pressing the
Settings
âš™
icon on the remote.
Navigate to the
General
tab.
Open the
Network
section.
Enable the
Wired Connection
option.
Note that LG displays support wireless connections. These are not recommended for video wall operations.
Setting the Time Zone
1.
Open the menu by pressing the
Settings
âš™
icon on the remote.
2.
Navigate to the
General
tab.
3.
Open the
Time & Date
option and set your local time zone.
4.
Enable the
NTP
option and ensure the clock is correct.
5.
Ensure that all the displays are set to identical settings.
Disabling the Tile Mode
uClient uses its own display settings, so it is necessary to ensure this feature is disabled on all panels before installing the uClient.
1.
Open the Settings menu and navigate to the
Ez Setting.
2.
Click on the
Video Wall
option
.
3.
Ensure that the
Tile Mode
is
Off
.
4.
Repeat these steps for all the panels.
Steps to Install the uClient
1.
Open the menu by pressing the Settings
âš™
icon on the remote.
2.
Navigate to the
EZ Settings.
3.
Navigate to the
SI Server
option
.
4.
Again select the
SI Server
option.
5.
Enable the
Fully Qualified Domain Name
option
.
6.
Enter the address
http://uclient.ws
and then press
Enter
.
7.
Change the
Application Launch Mode
to
Local
.
8.
Change the
Application Type
to
IPK
.
9.
Install the uClient application by selecting the
Remote option
under the
Local Application Upgrade
option
.
10.
Press
Confirm
.
11.
Wait for the download to complete and the application to install. This process should take less than one minute.
12.
Turn off the display, wait for 10 seconds and then turn it on.
13.
Repeat these steps for all panels.
The display should auto-launch uClient after a few seconds and display a pairing code.
