Signage Player Troubleshooting
Poor Video Synchronization, Resolution, Frame Rate (Signage Player)
If you are experiencing playback that is smooth but not synchronized across displays, try these steps.
Stop and Restart the video wall zone. This will refresh the media server and timing.
Check for updates. We are constantly improving our back end and synchronization capabilities.
Check your Performance Settings. The default settings are recommended. In particular, if NVIDIA Offload is not enabled, video performance and sync will be severely degraded. If you have 60FPS enabled, try disabling it.
Check Monitoring for any performance metrics that appear to be saturated - in particular, GPU Utilization and Network Send/Receive.
If you are playing more than 4-5 Signage Player sources at once, contact Userful Support.
Black Screen (Signage Player)
Ensure the Zone or Video Wall is playing. Stop and restart it.
Ensure you are using file formats that are compatible with Signage Player.
Check Performance Settings to ensure NVIDIA Offload is enabled.
Check Monitoring for any performance metrics that appear to be saturated - in particular, GPU Utilization and Network Send/Receive.
Color Bars (Signage Player)
You may have added files in the playlist that are not compatible with Signage Player. Otherwise, this error should rarely appear in Signage Player.
